As managing broker I believe in providing quality, professional service to everyone who walks through our doors. I work closely with my father/co-agent Vince Himlie and as a team we have over 65 years of experience in the real estate business. I have been a member of our local Skookum Rotary for over 13 years and I love being a part of our small town. If you have any questions about our community or if you're looking to buy or sell your home please us know and we'd be delighted to help!
I have been a Realtor in Shelton since 1960 and an owner/broker since 1964. During this time I have managed the top company in the county, served as the 1st President of the Mason County Board of Realtors, honored with "Realtor of the Year" and most recently the "Lifetime Achievement Award", by the Mason County Association of Realtors. I also actively list and sell residential, land, waterfront, and commercial properties.
I moved to Shelton from Minnesota in November, 1951. Over the years I have seen this area change and grow. Being in Real Estate and always being in the middle of this growth, I try to do my part by staying active in the community. I was a member and a past President of the Shelton Rotary,a charter member of the Skookum Rotary and that club's president for July 2010 through June 2011, and I have also served as President for the Chamber of Commerce. My community service contributions extend to many different clubs and organizations, including Saint's Pantry Food Bank, Mason County Habitat for Humanity, and various scholarship funds.
I am a member of the Faith Lutheran Church, which is where I married my wife, Gerry, in 1953. We have three children, five grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren, all of whom live here in Shelton.
The "Himlie Team" includes myself and my daughter, Jill. She started working with me in 2003. Having two of us helps make sure that someone is always available to help with whatever our clients need.
Vince is an Accredited Buyer's Representative (ABR) and a Senior Real Estate Specialist(SRES).
I am excited and proud to be a Third Generation Broker and to work with my grandfather, Vince Himlie, and my aunt, Jill Himlie. I grew up watching the best, and could not be happier to have joined the family business.
I have lived in Shelton my whole life. I grew up here and I love raising my children here.
I am also proud to carry 3 National Association of REALTORS Designations that reflect my education and ability to help with any needs. My Accredited Buyers Representative Designation demonstrates my experience and knowledge in working with Buyers, My Senior Real Estate Specialist Designation reflects the importance I place on helping folks in the 55+ generations with their real estate needs, and my Green Designation is a great resource for a wide range of sustainable and energy efficient products from building to retrofitting.
I take great pride in my Customer Service, and I look forward to helping this exciting time be a positive experience for you!
